STRATEGIC PLANNING

The strategic planning process is focused primarily on creating an organizational vision and shared values. At Censere, we spend considerable time and energy working with our clients and partners in developing a vision statement. A vision statement is an inspirational statement of an idealistic emotional future of an organization. In a nutshell, it is what a company inspires to be. Censere’s founder and principal has had the opportunity to lead and transform many large and diverse organizations, from the Friends Rehabilitation Corporation, to the Newark Housing Authority, to the New York City Housing Authority, to Florida A&M University. Developing a shared and inspiring vision has been the fundamental principle in these transformations.  

Once a shared vision is developed, Censere Consulting works with its clients and partners to develop strategies to achieve this vision. Quantitative and measurable goals and objectives emanate from the vision statement. Action plans are designed to provide detailed steps to accomplish the goals and objectives. Systems and resources are analyzed to ensure they are sufficient to support achieving the stated goals and objectives.

Our team understands the importance of getting every internal and external stakeholder to participate in each step of the process is vital to success. Moreover, our team understands that transforming an organization means empowering and inspiring those who have a vested interest in its success.  

It also means challenging them to look at the organization’s values and beliefs. The only way you can truly transform an organization is to change stakeholders’ fundamental values, ideas, and attitudes to have a shared, positive vision of the future.
